No it won't as even paying by cash, they will need 2 to 3 days for payment to be processed onto credit card

If I phone up the Post Office credit card would they be able to do anything, or will it count as a late payment?

That will all depends on how flexible they are & how you've managed your account over time, if you explain your mistake they might be lenient. You can always ask...

Yeah, all my others were set up, only waiting on this.

Can they be lenient? Has anyone had any dealings with them?

It's not a normal giro payment.

The Post Office will scan the barcode on your statement and should process it the same day.

    More nonsense from Stephane !

You can pay cash over the counter at any PO right up to the due date. The payment will be marked as credited the day it's paid, though will take 2-3 days to show online due to their inadequate system.

I pay mine every month this way !

Yes you can, just take the giro slip to the counter to be scanned with your payment and it will be perfectly OK. Even if you don't have the BGC slip they'll just ask you for your card number. It works exactly the same way.
