OFCOM Rulings on MAX Contract Periods

Hi

Contacted my service provider about an early upgrade due to some probs with billing etc. Which they apologised for and amended however I asked if due to this problem, which I never picked up straight away whether I could upgrade sooner.

They replied yes to sooner, meant to be end of October but due to OFCOM rules can't upgrade me to August 1st. Does anyone, know what they are on about? Surely they can let me renew early or not? Or do they mean that they might add extra months on to any new contract?

Thanks in advance

Murray

As far as I'm aware there's no such thing as an Ofcom rule which requires you serve a certain contractural period. It sounds like nonsense to me.
