I'm pretty sure they must be really unhappy, better to sell on-line then buy iPhone 4. Not sure other options.

Hi there
Are you one of those that recently bought the 3GS?
Firstly, it's still a good phone. The 3GS can use all the iOS4 upgrades, including multitasking.
Secondly, the 3GS is still being sold. They are bringing out the 8Gb version as a "low end" replacement to the 3G. In other words, you'll still be able to buy cases, screen protectors, cheap ebay replacement parts, etc. You'll find that for quite some time, you'll actually be able to buy more extras for the 3GS than the iPhone 4!!
Thirdly, the release of the iPhone 4 should not be a surprise to anyone. Apple have a 12 month upgrade policy on the iPhone and no doubt they will on the iPad too (the lack of a forward-facing camera which will have to be in the next update for "face time" is a prime example of an upgrade for iPad 2 next year). As a result, people have been holding off on renewing their contracts to see what the next iPhone had in store for them.
Fourthly, AT&T are offering "upgrade early" on iPhone 4 so I'd expect the UK providers to follow this example. It may not help someone who bought their 3GS in the last 3 or 4 months, but for those that have a contract due to expire in 2010, they should be ok.
Fifth point is that those with a 3GS this year will be able to upgrade to the iPhone 5 (or whatever they call it) next year and be one step ahead of the iPhone 4 owners.
Finally, if you're not happy with the 3GS, why did you buy it?
Hope this helpsIn the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -

Doesn't make sense, whether one liked the info or not, it was stuffed down our faces about iphone4 blah blah blah, just because something is launched does not make the current model totally useless (or anymore useless than it already is/was) , is your partner going to love you any less just because you didn't wait for an iphone4? Get over it.

Has a new iPhone been released? I hadn't heard anything about it!
Seriuosly, OP the iPhone 4 was hardly a secret you must have known it was imminent when you bought the 3GS. It's been discussed enough in this forum for starters. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0
