Hello everyone,
Has anyone heard of the sale of the Link to O2?
http://www.vnunet.com/articles/comments/2158619
What will happen to the cashback contracts once O2 takes over?
I was considering ordering a phone from the Link with 10 months free line rental and was told by T-mobile (while getting my PAC code) that most of the Link stores are to be turned into O2 stores, and the rest to be sold on. Shock horror!

Hi all,
Previously I posted a thread (below) regarding the Link Stores and asked the question:
Who's going to honour the Cashback payments when O2 UK takes over the high street Link stores?
Good news!:T
I just got an answer back from customer services at DSGI plc and The Link Connections.
"Dear Sir/Madam
Thank you for your E-mail
With reference to the Link High Street Stores
these stores are being Sold to the O2 Network
but any Cashback offers through the Stores will be honoured
The Link.com Website is not being sold and will still
be trading as an On-line Store
In closing please do not hesitate to contact us
if you have any further questions
Kind Regards
The Link Connections"
Looks like I'll be taking out a contract with the Link!0 -
So now it will be trading with just a dot com organisation with no back up from a major company. No links with high street shops and no point of access as before.0

Wasn't The Link part-owned by O2 and DSG - maybe the web site is staying with DSG?0

It wasn't long ago that DSG killed off Dixons on the high street and rebranded all their Dixons stores as Currys.Digital stores - however Dixons remains in existence as an online brand. It's clear to me that they are simply applying the same principle to their The Link brand on the high street, with the exception that this time they also want to get shot of their high street store portfolio.
Reestit MuttonFor anyone wishing to contact me privately to ask me a question, can I ask that you email me directly as my PM box is often full.0
