bauformat kitchen

Hi,

We are looking for a new kitchen and been round to the usual ikea, b&Q cooke and lewis, howdens but have recently come across this make from an independent.

Does anyone know of this make and what their quality is like?

Thanks,

Esh

    Hi

Bauformat are a lower end German kitchen manufacturer. I would say they are still going to be considerably better than the other makes you have mentioned. You will also probably find that the independent specialist will design a better kitchen for you to.

    Good luck.

    Hi

Thanks for your reply. The quote came back for £12500 which is almost triple the price of the equivalent b&q and howdens kitchens, so pretty much out of my price range. I am waiting on magnet and a local independent who supplies William Ball kitchens to come to back to me with prices and am hoping these will be more within my price range.

Grrrr CK, stop tarring all non-independents with the same brush...
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Sorry! Don't get me wrong cos there are plenty of bad indepedents out there IMO, but as an independent if we don't look after customers with more care and do better designs than the nationals then we can't pay the mortgage at home!

    Hi

I would guess that you are not comparing 'like for like'. Really it is very difficult to just compare finished kitchen prices from different suppliers unless you have exactly the same kitchen design, the same door material, same appliances, same worktop make, exactly the same installation work.

Just as an example only the other week a customer choose a real wood veneer door from us and a wood effect laminate door from somewhere else, obviously we were more expensive but the customer initially didn't understand it was a very different kitchen.

Also on Saturday I had a customer that had had Magnet out to do a plan. The customer gave me a copy of the plan, I made several improvements which the customer really liked and when I gave them the price they were really impressed as we were slightly cheaper than Magnet's price and as the customer had said miles better in quality of product and design.

    Good luck

It obviously wasn't one of my designs then :D
