the best websites for agility are
http://www.agilitynet.com/
http://www.agilityeye.co.uk/
The flyball website is
https://www.flyball.org.uk
There is a map on the flyball site showing where the local clubs are, but it may be a bit out of date... the best thing is to actually post on the discussion board and ask about clubs in the area if you cant find one on the map.
Dogs can start training for both flyball and agility after 12 months of age. Before then their bones and growth plates arent developed enough.
flyball is lovely, and perfect for a very energetic dog - and, as he is small, he will be an added bonus to any team!0 -
Well, hopefully her vet will have the details of the microchip registration and you normally have to get her to sign the chip over to you? When we got Diggs he was already chipped (by the rescue). They gave us the paperwork, I had to complete the form that they had already signed and send it off. As it happens, I checked his registration online and they had him down as a border collie ! LOL. So I had to ring them anyway to change that mistake. When I told them he was from the rescue they waived the transfer costs. I then paid for a lifetime registration anyway - so that you dont have to keep paying transfer fees if you move.0

Hi all... well I'm getting a little concerned about something and wondered what your take on it is.
I was thinking back to the conversations we had with the pup's owner when we went to see him. I suddenly remembered (don't know why I didn't before) that when she was talking about the ad she had put on Freecycle for the dog, she made a mistake - she didn't actually say Freecycle... she said Gumtree. I noticed her mistake at the time but then the conversation turned to something else and I forgot about it.
I've just been searching on Gumtree and, sure enough, found this ad . It's the same ad she put on Freecycle, minus the '£50 ovno'. She appears to have left this ad on Gumtree for about 7 days before offering him on Freecycle and, subsequently, to us.
Now, I sent her an email on Wednesday evening asking her to sort out the microchip details, and dig out his vaccination card, etc for us, and stating a time we will pick him up Sunday... she has not replied to this email yet. I also sent her a text at about 8am this morning, asking if she got the email and if everything is still ok... no reply to that either.
I am going to give her until the end of today to see if she replies before I ring her. I've got a full day ahead, errands to run, cats to take to the vet for stitches out, visiting family until about 8pm... if I haven't heard from her by the time I get home from all that, I'm going to give her a ring and see if she answers her phone.
But I'm worried that she has received an offer from the ad on Gumtree and accepted it, and now she's blanking us... what do you think?

After all you have ahve gone though this week I really hope not. I would go one better and call at her home. You could say you were just passing.
I really hope she rings you soon. What a worry it must be for you.

Thanks Chris... if she doesn't answer our emails, calls or texts by the end of today, we will go round to the house. I'm hoping and praying that I'm wrong about it. Tried telling myself that she may well be having internet trouble - but then it's highly unlikely she'd be having mobile phone trouble too. If she only knew what we went through losing our girl last month she would know how cruel it is if she has sold him...
Anyway, getting ahead of myself I guess. Will let you know what happens x"Your life is what your thoughts make it"

Surely for the sake of "£50 ovno" she would want the pup to go to a decent home like you. Im sure she is just not the sort of person who reads her emails religiously. Try not to worry. And aw, that piccy of the smooth haired baby, he looks adorable. When they are in good health, the smooth Pats shine like a seal.0
