Cheap flights to Austria??

Hi
I'm going to a concert in Austria in July and have been looking at flights - they seem quite expensive! I have been looking at direct flights from Heathrow to Vienna but wondered if anyone has knowledge of a cheaper option ... perhaps travelling to a different airport and then train??? As a new travelling to Europe I don't have much experience or knowledge of other airports etc yet!
Unfortunately I'm restricted to dates so can only travel out on 15 July (ideally early AM) and will need to be back in London on 17 July mid-afternoon.
Can anyone offer advice?

Ryanair (although I'm personally not a great fan) will fly you from Stansted to Bratislava (Slovakia) on these dates for around £ 90 rtn plus card fees if applicable. Bratislava is within easy traveling distance from Vienna and I believe there is a direct bus service from BTS airport.0

Direct from Heathrow is £135 with BMI. That is not that expensive.0

That's a very good price. As an airline employee, i could go on a confirmed BA ticket for £122, so £135 on a 'proper' airline out of Heathrow is a brilliant price.
That is a good price but I've just looked on BMI website and it's quoting me £391 to fly out and £278 to fly back - for 2 adults so a total of £520????
I've tried adding the 10% discount code I found on the web but it doesn't seem to be taking anything off this price.
I have found the same flight (flying BMI) via worldwideflights.com for £290 for a return trip for 2 adults which is a great price compared but not sure why so cheap compared to booking direct.
Any ideas?0 -
Try netflights.com - £276.58 for two. You can get 1.3% cashback by booking via topcashback. You can get BA flights via lastminute.com for just under £250, but that does not get you back until the evening, plus the strikes are not settled yet.0
