gardening websites and forums
Can anyone recommend a good gardening website that offers comprehensive info on most aspects of gardening (e.g. plants, lawn, pests, feeding, propagating) and ditto with a forum - in addition to this fine forum of course !.
I've got several in my Favourites file but none is "good enough" to be used exclusively IYKWIM, and I find myself getting confused switching from one site to another searching for things.
Thanks
Linda

If you ask 6 gardeners something, you often get 6 different answers back. Best thing to do, is read all the different ways of doing something, find out which are the latest ones, because some of the old ones trotted out time and time again are worthless and then learn from experience what works best for you.
If you want a forum for growing your own food. http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/grapevine/ That's goodFreedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
This one???I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I'll second this site.It is seperated in to sections such as the ones you have just mentioned. I have found it really useful & i'm sure you would too. They are a helpful bunch like on here!0 -
crocus have a online 'right plant, right place' selector0

https://www.growveg.info is good as each query has its own place, under a certain veg or plant rather than most forums that just repeat the same questions every year. More of a store cupboard of useful info.
eg. today I wrote that I picked my first Mangetout of 2010 on 8th June 2010, entered it under the mangetout section, but reading upwards found I had a first harvest on 3rd June 2009; so it it very useful as all veg species have their own area. Much easier for reference. Give it a whirl, free to register and a great little community.0 -
Thanks for such helpful replies, I'm going to work my way through all your links.
