HomePlug devices are used for networking. As you didn't provide links I can't be certain what you are looking at but the chances are neither will do what you want - probably all you need is some sort of video lead and which one depends on what your PC/laptop offers and what your TV needs.

As I said HomePlugs are networking devices. All they do is act as a substitute for ethernet cable. If you can plug an ethernet cable from your TV to you PC and by some method which you haven't specified it can display pictures from the hard drive then yes they will do the job. Then again so would a £2 ethernet cable. I think you are looking at the wrong technology though.

Homeplugs allow devices to talk to one another via ethernt using the house mains
You can use homeplugs to stream, but not in the way (I believe) you think

For example, If I was to view photos from my pc id need to stream to another device (My ps3, or my bluray player which has network streaming included) which in turn is connected directly to the tv
That said, if the panasonic has a streaming ability then its 'possible' I suppose (Whats the EXACT model number?)

I cant guarantee youll get your tv streaming correctly
Youd be best connecting directly via ethernet from your router if you can
If you wish to gamble and go for it then my personal sugegstion is none of those
    I go for SOLWISE personally

Seems a slightly expensive solution for occasional photo viewing, couldn't you use the SD card slot?
