Transferring Sim Card to A New Phone

I have just purchased a Nokia 7230, however when I add my current Sim card from my 6230i it fails to transfer over any of the pictures, ring tones or text messages and only part of the phone-book is copied over.

Is it at all possible to rectify this so that everything is copied onto the new phone?

Thanks in advance.

The only thing that's stored on the sim are around 100 contacts and 20 texts, everything else is stored on the phone.
