Estate Agent insider dealing suspected, what can i do?

Options
I have good reason to believe an estate agent has fiddled a repo property I was the winning bidder on and either didnt enter my bid or simply tipped someone off what was required to beat it.

Is there anything I can do? is there any kind of transparency with these kinds of deals?

Perhaps there is a niche for a website where bidders can record their bids? OK full of potential unintended consequences, but if the repo'd owners could see a fiddle going on, they could have more than enough leverage to create a stink

With a repo, sometimes it's not even the highest bidder that wins, but simply the one the lender feels most confident will complete in the best timescale with the minimum of risk.

Slightly off topic but why oh why is this country in thrall to estate agents anyway?

They simply use us,the public,to further their own ends at our expense and many of them will screw us and be dishonest at the drop of a hat.

Roll on tesco home sales i say.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Knowing what a good agent can do with difficult sales, Tesco is not the way to go.
