My husband and I went to the car phone warehouse on saturday for new phones. We told the girl where we lived and where our business was so that she could recommend a network that would cover us. She suggested vodafone. She convinced my husband to pay for internet use even though he's never used internet via mobile before. He decided to in for it as he said it would be fun to lol at youtube down the pub occasionally. And you've guessed i'm sure we have no coverage at home or work and the blackberry she sold my husband doesn't support youtube videos. We purchased in store on a 24 month contract. Do I have a leg to stand on? Thanks

simple answer you were sold vodafone because that would have made the sales person the most comission, don't believe the 'impartial advice' spin on the ads. You have 14 days to return as the service cannot be provided, expect carphone warehouse to attempt to send you to the nearest Vodafone store to sort it out, don't fall for that either, just turn up with everything they sold you in the original condition and say you wish to cancel as you have no service at the 2 adresses you need yo use the handsets

CPW dont pay commission to instore staff and haven't done for some time now.

OP - Take everything back to store ASAP and explain the situation, as long as vodafone can confirm the poor signal you shouldn't have much of a problem getting them cancelled.

On the off chance you decide to stick with it, Vodaphone do a femtocell thing which is a device that gives you a connection through your home broadband (though of course, if internet at home is the main issue then could just use the wifi for free anyway). It's £50 though apparently easily talked down to half that.

Vodafone don't offer a 14day cooling off period unfortunately.
