Full of ex Jeremy Kyle guests.
I've actually seen quite a lot of 'monied' people in there - probs why they have so much money, suckers for a bargain or three0 -
I'd rather leave my other half outside with the kids (if we had any...) and nip in for five mins by myself than pay the over inflated prices at JJB!If at first you don't succeed, maybe bomb disposal isn't the best career choice.0

I don't mind what they sell, but the layout is dire.

As you said 'we' switched in the original post I assumed there were two of you!
Good point about the SOGA, heard a lot of stories about that so I'm careful in that I'm 99.9% sure I won't need to return it when I buy it - unless faulty, and then they have to refund/replace.0 -
ive brought some stuff from there and its not crap so don t be so judgmental
Although the owner of said establishment is a complete T*sser (I support Newcastle BTW), what cannot be disputed is that a family can clothe their kids with decent stuff for a decent price.
For people struggling with their finances, Spots Direct, Soccer Sports, Lillywhites or whatever they call themselves are undoubtedly good value.
Some people may not subscribe to the stack 'em high sell 'em cheap concept, but in continuously crowded shops, they all cannot be wrong! Not an option when you have the kids by yourself, also the customer service at sports direct is terrible( just search this forum), they will do anything to weasel out of SOGA, so I use JJb, Argos or a local independent shop.
And you think Sports Direct customer services are bad? Wait until you have issues with JJB!0 -
I do shop in there. For example I bought the new England Test Cricket shirt last weekend as it was the cheapest place
But I always wonder how do they get around the DDA? Surely you could never get a wheelchair in there?Green and White Barmy Army!0 -
It's only a shop for the Lonsdale and Kappa p!keys anyway.
Shop elsewhere.
I have bought quite a few things from there before and i'm not a Lonsdale or Kappa p!key as you so nicely put it.
Some of their things are quite a lot cheaper than other sports shops, especially England stuff for the World Cup. I got a few England t-shirts that were only 4 or 5 quid each to wear watching the matches in the pub as previous experience they only get covered in beer anyway.
I must admit though that the service has been terrible in every one of their shops i've been in.If At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.00 -

I go a nice set of KSB waterproof shoes for £30 from there they do have some good deals. Its a bit like aldi or lydle. Small shops filled to the brim, minimum staff level to allow them to price low. If you want decent service go to more expensive shop0
