My own experience with the FOS is slightly more positive than that of echobeach, so if yours does go that way it could be quicker than 6 months...........:)

Mine (against Norton Finance) was also upheld by an adjudicator at the end of November 2009 and NF also ignored all requests from the FOS to comply with their decision so I was told it would have to be re-investigated by an ombudsman.

On 6th April I heard that it was still in a queue, then 10 days later was informed the ombudsman had upheld my complaint. Once I signed the acceptance form it became legally binding on both me and NF.

NF have been in touch, although they still haven't said how much they are refunding, but the FOS said the refund could take up to 12 weeks to be received.

This is encouraging, hope you get your refund soon. When you say NF have been in touch, though not said how much, what did they say ? have they accepted liability ?

Hope your wait is not much longer.
