The lady on the phone tried to direct me to the website, but we both clicked on it at the same time and the page was blank :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Found it eventually - but the old one is still evidently there too - rather confusing! (hope it's not your place too Squizz - although I could have just got in touch with you if it was, I'm sure you're most efficient! :T :T)

All sorted now :) Going to pop down and pick copies up in a bit :T then sort colour printing over the weekend at home if I can, then stick in the binders next week :T :T

Why thank you BOB, and the rest of you too :j :j :j

Printed copies picked up, load of paper thrown away from the office, and supervisor gave me a bottle of champagne, so tonight I will be mostly drinking that :D:D :j :j :j :j

First though, and rather uninterestingly, I'm going to do an hour of work, because I've been so bl**dy scatty today, and spent so much of the day either at the dentist or messing around with printing thesis that I did hardly any work :rotfl: :rotfl:

Just an hour though, and then an hour of non-work-non-phd pottering (online banking with new budget I think :j :j And I've got SEVEN (yes, SEVEN) parcels I need to get together and send - one of them is a secret santa!  :rotfl: so I might do that while Mr Daffs is in the bath)

Then we will drink champagne, and enjoy the thought that the only reason we have to get up tomorrow is to go underwear shopping :rotfl: :rotfl: (and to the WI, of course :rotfl:)

    :D

Thanks you lovely lot :D:D Sooooo nice to be congratulated :j :j :j

Anyway, here I am on my first free Friday night, sitting in the attic (see, I can't leave the place :rotfl: :rotfl:) doing some internet banking :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    So, the new budget...

    Wages: £1632  :D:D

    Into the bills account:
£30 car maintenance (covers my half of insurance, RAC, road tax, plus £200 towards MOT)
£30 diesel (I almost certainly won't use all of this, don't drive to work or anything, so it'll build up and get spent on days out :D)
£100 emergencies (dentist, anything else wrong with car, house etc)
    £265 house contribution/rent

    Into the savings account:
    £100 holiday and days out fund :j :j :j

    In the main account:
    £15 mobile phone
    £180 trains to work (£12 a day x 3 days a week x 5 weeks a month)
    £50 fun

    Cash:
    £150 food (£30 x 5 weeks)
    £100 fun (£20 x 5 weeks)
    £60 bus to work (£4 x 3 days x 5 weeks)

Which according to my calculations leaves £579 :j :j We will, however, be sorting out the house finances this month, and recalculating the amount I pay, so it'll probably go up to at least £350, meaning I'll have £494 spare.

    Things to note...
*I'm planning to save £450 a month - from April this will go into an ISA, before April this will be the 'Palace Fund' :D

    * I budget for 5 Mon-Sun weeks every month - some weeks there are only 4, so in the spare 5th week (7 of this in 2011!) the food, fun, buses and trains money (total of £98) will go into the ISA.

    * Any money unspent from the £50 fun money in the bank, and from the trains (I budget for going to the office 3 days a week, but most weeks I only go two), will go into the savings account.

    * Any unspent cash money from food/fun/buses can go in the treats pot for day out spends :j :j (again, I budget for going to the office 3 days a week but usually only go two; also £4 a day means I can get buses on all 4 legs of the journey - mostly I do a max of two).

    * Because I'm over budgeting the max I'll need for quite a few things (especially travel), I'm hoping there'll be a fair few bits spare to build up in the savings account :j :j :j I'd much rather that way than struggling to find the train fare the weeks I go in to work 3 days!

    Anyway, that's enough of that, let's break open the champagne I say :D :j :D :j
