More people die from accidents due to slippers and balloons than from dog bites also (just thought I'd say!).

How on earth do you have an accident with a balloon?? I am sure I will end up wishing I hadn't asked that :rotfl:

Guess popping one right behind grandpa who has a dicky heart might cause a fatality. Other than that, I'm baffled. These remind me of a chapter in Bill Bryson's "notes from a large country" where he's gone through numerous stats - number of people in A&E from office related accidents, injuries involving toilets/clothing/bedding etc. A jolly good laugh!

Chirp - a poster of many questions but, sadly, very little in the way of answers.

I'd wager a journalist trying to create a story!

Watch out for killer shark/baloon/trouser related stories in the Mail this weekend.

Is there a problem with fox menace in South Ruislip and adjacent areas? Which areas in London have the most problem with foxes? Recent news items are very disturbing and many people seem to have a lot of foxes coming into their rear garden.

Don't worry about it - once the Hunting with Dogs Act has been repealed it won't be a problem :rotfl:

Instead of worrying about how many foxes there are around you should think about why they are around. Dirty people just dropping litter, not bothering to put their rubbish in bins and just generally living in a dirty way. Thats not inculding the people who purposely put out food for foxes.
If you really are worried about foxes in your area then just don't feed them, ask your neighbours to clear up mess in their gardens or report them to the council. If there is no food source for the foxes then like rats and mice they will go elsewhere.
