    Hoofehearted - thanks but I did try that but when I clicked next it took me back to 28 May!

    Then use that date if it is the most recent Restore Point. Sys Restore will not roll back your data, it just rolls back your system settings. So for example you will still have emails or Word docs created or modified after that date in their 'latest' form.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
