I'm having problems with my o2 email account. The o2 helpline told me to click on IE, Tools, internet options and delete temp files, cookies, browsing history etc. At 1.30pm today I did this and now even Word has been affected i.e. I clicked on Word to create a document and it's just a tiny letter page in middle of screen - tried everything to resize it.

I want to restore everything back to when I did this at 1.30 today. I'm not at all knowledgeable about techie stuff, I've read the instructions on I.E. Help and Support about restoring but don't understand it. Can anyone help me please?

    For starters, can you tell us which version of windows you are using? (XP/Vista/Windows 7)

    Can't see deleting temporary files in IE affecting Word. Maybe you have another problem.

    I'm using the latest version of XP version 8 or at least I was!

    I assume that means, Windows XP with IE8!

    In that case, the first thing to do is a system restore.

    Open the System Restore utility from
    Start->(All) Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore

    Then select "Restore my computer to an earlier time" and click Next

    Then highlight any date on the calendar that is in bold and select a restore point. Click Next, read the info and click Next again. The PC will eventually reboot and restore to an earlier time.

    Hopefully, this will cure your problems.

    When you say "a tiny letter page in middle of screen" do you mean its like you have zoomed out too far so to speak, i cant see how temp files and cookies can affect word

    Yes exactly that's how it is as though I've zoomed out! It beats me how that's happened but as I say I'm not techie minded at all and am at a loss.

    Hoofehearted - thanks but I did try that but when I clicked next it took me back to 28 May!
