Please correct me if I am wrong, but I do not see any point of buying a phone with the contract rather than separately phone and a sim card with a contract. Well at least with the case of iPhone.
But all comparison websites just offer me a phone+contract deals. Is there any website which compares sim-only contract deals?

Or you could read the MSE 'Cheapest iPhone' article, which shows it is better value to get a Tesco contract than PAYG

Surely, as there are only about half a dozen networks, there isn't a great deal of a problem in doing it yourself? Particularly as some have Bolt-on features that enable you to choose.

CPW shops' magazines do have a comparison for sim-only, but only 30 day deals (from memory).

don't forget to take into account cashback when doing the comparison - I doubt comparison sites would allow for this as they usually live off the commission from click throughs. Quidco offers some good deals at the moment on Vodaphone 12 month contracts

Not all SimOnly options are available through comparison websites, so I wouldn't bother using it. Its much quicker to decide what network signal you can get in your area, your minutes&text required per month, and then your overall budget. SimOnly are not the only option now that some PAYG (O2 & GiffGaff) provide 30 day bundles which operate like SimOnly without the commitment of a contract. Take a look at those, as some will provide cheaper out of bundle call/text costs.

As said above, you can't beat a good cashback deal on SimOnly either for 12 months, which brings down the monthly costs considerably and you can get more for your money.
