Thanks for all your replies, really appreciated. Sorted the problem, the batteries. Got it all fixed now, thanks everyone. :-)“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0

It is probably the batteries, remember to link them to the "thingy" by pushing the little button on the "thingy" and the button on the bottom of the mouse and if the keyboard is wireless too you need to link both when changing batteries in one.
See, you were right......:T0 -

But I still don't know if it had a "thingy" with green and purple ends or if it was a USB0 -
It was a Logitech mouse and keyboard, had green buttons on the underside that I had to press etc to set it. Does that help. Don't think it was USB.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0

One other thing to check, to save batteries, some mice shut-off when they haven't been used for a while (I've got an advent wireless laser mouse that does this) - To make it active, you have to click the left mouse button.
Easiest way to check this (on mine) is the green status light on the charger/cradle. If it flashes, it's talking - if it doesn't, it's not. Hope that helps.
Jeff
PS - Why make a charger run only off USB? That means I have to leave my hub on overnight sometimes just to get the thing charged!Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0 -
It's running on rechargeable batteries, 15 minute charge so not too bad if it is left on.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0

Our Micrsoft wireless keyboard/mouse combo hasnt worked since last night.
The keyboard is fine but the mouse isnt working although the red light is lit underneath. I changed the batteries twice with new NiMH batteries I also pressed the reset button under keyboard and mouse and pressed the button on the receiver. I resinstalled the mouse drivers too but alas no avail
I tried it on another microsoft wireless keyboard/mouse combo but its very slight different as its two usb leads into one connection to receiver but the other one although exact same mouse/keyboard have one usb lead to receiver.
I tried it on that but doent work either, but I am sure it didnt work when I first got it.
I going have to send it back or contact ms tommorow.0
