no-one would want an all in package

yes, they would be prepared to pay for a wedding planner, at a fixed fee for their time, but there is noway, you could hide your fee within an all-in price, as there are too many differentials between what every bride wants, which would eat into your profit

Also a starting price of £10k, would put alot of people out of your price range. most brides either have unlimited budgets, and attitudes to match, that a price of £10k would make them think you are low end and not for them, or the £10k would be way out of their price range, and they wouldnt consider you either

just give a fix fee for your time, and the rest of the budget is left up to the bride/daddy to sort

Hi we purchased a package like this from our orignal venue in France. It inc the venue and accomodation for 30people
    wedding breakfast for 30
    canapes
    officiant
    flowers
    photographer
    horse and carriage
    and a wedding planner
And we could upgrade items for extra costs, we chose it as we knew the costs up front.
Sadly our venue cancelled on us in Feb so we have had to fine another and athough we got the new venue to match there price i think we had a better deal witht the first venue.
I think a 10k all in one package is good if it incs venue hire, and food etc.
What would you inc in for 10k??

Our venue's wedding package is £2,500 - including arrival drinks, 4-course sit-down with drinks for 40, evening buffet for 75, photography, DJ, room hire for ceremony & reception, table decs, linen, table plan, menus, place cards, and o/n accomodation in a suite for the bride & groom with champagne breakfast. Our complete wedding including B&B accomodation for 16, flowers & suit hire will cost around £5.5k

So personally I think your "£20k average" is a little out of touch with most posters on this board.

The £20,000 average is a survey done by you and your wedding not myself however this was a few years ago they did this survey.
I am aware that most posters on this board would not spend that much being a money saving site, that is my main reason to see what an average would be for the saving bride

Thanks for your post, In no way would i hide my fee it would be in the invoice.
I have set a fixed fee for my services however this targets the high budget brides so trying to target the more average and lower budget brides, but i do take on your comments thanks you:money:

As I said, I'm getting almost all of that for a shade under £5.5k, add my dress & alterations in & it will be approx £5.8k.

So would I pay £4k+ for a planner? No. It hasn't been that demanding, we haven't particularly stressed about any part of it (yet), and my time is a lot cheaper than that - even if I charge my employer's hourly rate for me.

Also, don't forget that a lot of 4* hotel chains such as De Vere & Barcelo have well-priced packages - mine is a Barcelo - which include most things on your list, and the majority of brides would not necessarily find their perfect dress within a set price range, while your £10k cost could be blown out of the water by a bride deciding on a dress that costs £1-2k.

We are getting everything we want (including the hire of a ferrari!) for just under 5k.

The package idea is a good one for some people, but its still way too expensive for someone like me (and most of the people on here!).

I also enjoy the fun of searching for stuff online and in shops, so to have someone else do it for me would not be good as i would worry a lot! lol. And also, i love a bargain and enjoy finding bargains!

I think had I seen what you are offering but for 5k i may have seriously considered it, despite my love of doing everyhting myself... but 10k is just too much.
Now a married lady and loving it! Now..to clear that pesky mortgage!
