I always thought my 42" would be big enough, but certain films (Especially widescreen with bars top and bottom) I kept thinking it could do with being bigger
I now have a 46" Sony and im sat maybe 7' away, and it looks incredible

Have to confess that I'm by no means a tv adict and there is no way I can see myself every forking out hard earned money to Sky - No Sir!! Maybe that's part of the reason why I think I'll be satisfied with a 32 inch tv.

With a Freeview HD tuner built in there is a certain future profing of the the tv and it also means that I can do away with one of those boxes and associated cables - I hate cables  Living in the North of Ireland it should also let me receive FTA digital signals from the Rep of Ireland

Drifting slightly from the topic just how good or limited are the internet connections on this, and I suppose other televisions?

I would think that small rooms and big TV's don't go hand in hand.

    Hiya kah22,

My post was from experience. You know I've seen hundreds of posts for 50" at 12' from people who own / use a 50".

And thousands of posts against 50" at 12' from people who don't own a TV bigger than 26"

I'll share a Guinness with you some time kah22

A friend has a 60 inch pioneer I went for a preview, the seating was about 15 feet away, but I found that my eyes were all over the screen tracking the picture content, alright for the odd movie I suppose not for an evenings tv viewing though

I have had a 65" TV for about 4 years and after the 1st week or so everybody got used to it and now wouldn't have anything smaller. Movies & Sport in HD are truly astounding

Looks very much like I'm not going to get my Sony at the expected price. Been in contact with John Lewis customer service department this morning and it seems that the tele is that popular that the new delivery they took is going to stores rather than been sold online. OK if you live near a JL store but there is none where I live.
