They should not happen when young kids toys are involved, kids can not see danger so will easily hurt themselves - there is no excuse for any store to sell dangerous toys, but a store with a reputation like mothercare should be whiter then white.0 -

People are not perfect, it is a fact of life. That is why any parent with an ounce of common sense would check an item before giving it to a child.
Trading Standards will not be interested, as the retailer has taken steps to resolve the problem. TS do accept that sometimes human errors occur, despite all possible steps to minimise risk.
Why should a goodwill payment be offered? Was any harm done?Gone ... or have I?0
