I am in this week thanks to all at Flylady central command for helping to keep me on track.

Toots have a lovely relaxing week and enjoy yourself.

I did get quite a bit of stuff on tomorrows list done today thankfully as we got to be up at 6am to get DD to the hospital and then to school so the morning is going to be a rush but its all done tonight so we just need to get washed dressed and breakfast school bags are by the front door all sorted for tomorrow.

Lamewolf Please take things easy no more mowing lawns:D

I best get this stuff listed on ebay then hoping to have an early night if DS ever goes to sleep.

Just popping in to say have a lovely time on retreat toots!

I've just finished my planning - punishment for spending all week gardening. I sneaked in an hour on the allotment this morning, and after lunch bought some plants for my tubs and put them in just before it tipped it down.

Despite being woken up three times since 2.30am (DD and friends returning froim clubbing, very loud blackbirds, and then torrential rain...) I don't feel quite as tired as I thought. I'd still like a couple more days off though!

Love and hugs all round, especially for toots, lady-liberty and diva

    Evening all

Toots have a wonderful time and I hope you have recovered from your purse incident (that must be in top ten most annoying things to do - after putting diesel in a petrol car)

    Kevie - welcome

Manic week with DS1 having an exam everyday and me invigilating every day.

Good luck to all of those taking GCSEs and GCEs this week, the end is in sight now

First job tomorrow is to ring the letting agent for next door. They have had garden contractors in all weekend who have broken some of our fence and cut down trees in a conservation area. They will be compensating me for sure!

Hello I am also a childminder and this thread is brilliant.

I have always had a fairly tidy downstairs to my house (ready for parents visiting) but now my upstairs is also clean and tidy. And as Of today I have a fully functioning craft room instead of a small bedroom used for dumping junk in
From experience I would say not to worry about the house being ready for parents. The best childminder I have ever known has horrendously cluttered worksurfaces and dining table. She is absolutely brilliant with all from tiny babies up to teens and all the children love her. I would rather she spent time interacting with the children than keeping a tidy house and Ofsted dont seem to mind as they say she does everything she needs to, to stimulate the children.

Thats a lot of listings vanilla, along with everything else you do, it must be time you put your feet up and had a glass of wine or something

    Hi everyone,

I'm Kevin - 21yo guy living with my partner and cat in Norwich.

I love baking and cooking which is why I first found myself in OS. Now I'm hooked, batch cooking, meal planning and all sorts! As we both work FT, we struggle to keep on top of the housework at times. Recently, I've started to add little bits to my routine - everytime I get out of the shower, I spray the stardrops around the kitchen and shower it away after I've dried myself. That seems to be keeping on top of the bathroom with very little extra effort. I'm doing the same in the kitchen after cooking too, and that seems to be working !

I also make my own soaps and cosmetics so I suppose that fits nicely into the OS theme too...

Anyway, with your permission I'd like to join in all the fun here please :D

Look forward to meeting you all,

    Kevin x
Welcome, and how impressed I am that you are interested in old style, I hope your girlfriend appreciates what she's got!

Hope all you new peeps realise that its impossible to follow the thread and fly so bear that in mind when you are trying to read the posts and keep up!

Triker - big hugs honey, hope you get chance to take it easy now

Toots - I hope you have a wonderful relaxing stay at the retreat

Valli - Glad you had a good time and fingers crossed for another

Greenbee - hope you had a dry day and a comfortable walk

Best wishes for LadyLiberty and Diva

Well DD is all ready for school, everything is all laid out ready but then for DS has to kick her out the door tomorrow as DH on days and I'm away at 730 as first day back :(. Lunch is all packed and in the fridge. Dinner has been eaten and cleared away and the DW is on. More clothes have been sorted and put away and I just have trousers to iron for the morning (although will do a few extras to make it worth turning the iron on!) Oh and I sorted the understairs cupboard this afternoon as well!

Right feet up I think, I can get up early with DH in the morning and do them then at least then we can chill together tonight.

Oh that, and work out how I am supposed to get to work by 8am on Tuesday when the car is being picked up for a service. DH was going to take me on the bike but has accepted overtime starting at 6am. Its only 16 miles away and not on a bus route . Options are so far, borrowing Dads Jag , scrounging a lift off a lady down the road who starts late meaning the boss would have to go in early to cover me, or taking a days holiday :p

Anyway have a good evening all and I'll catch up with you after work tomorrow

See you all after work tomorrow

PS Good luck to all those who have exams tomorrow (and this week) especially my DS who has Chemistry (Snap Dusty!)
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Kaz well done on being so prepared for tomorrow. Hope your DS does well in his Chemistry. DS1 has done his (maths tomorrow which is an A level choice for him so he needs to do well, school only let you take it on an A grade or occasionally on a B is you get an A in the algebra module) but DS2 does have his first chemistry module next week.

I've got Virgin media coming tomorrow morning to change the digital box and I so must get some flying done, the thing will be which room to start in.

  • Could I join in again this week, I managed mostly level 1 last week and spent 5 hours doing DD's bedroom today and she is in the box room:eek:
I have gone back to lurking again. I don't feel right just jumping in,you all seem to know each other so well.

Well thanks to the organisers and I will try and make an effort to do more cleaning this week.
