If you do contact Lowells then you should include a sentence to the effect the letter in no way acknowledges ownership of any debt.
    God save the King!

  • i have an old debt with 02 which a collector from lowell group was coming each month for payments after 3 payments on the 3rd month i genually was not in and he went over the the neighbour over the road whilst collecting from her aswell asked where i was? told her that i hadnt paid him that month and how much i owed! Is that allowed or can i get the debt written off because its againt the law to go discuss my buisness with anybody else! also when he came back the next month and i told him i wasnt paying him he put his foot in the way of me shutting the door ... still getting letters off lowell group also phone calls at 9:45 pm!

Does anyone know if thats against the law?

More fool you for paying lowells the well known thieves and even more stupid to pay them on the door.
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.
  • thanks for that! just rang them and the guy on the phone told me that what the collector done at the door was against the law and if it got took to court it would get thrown out because of what he had done!

Been to CAB today & the advisor sounded well aware of lowell. They are going to contact lowell asking for proof of the debt. He doesn't think I'll hear from them again as when he's looked at the letter from lowell & my credit report that shows up the default the dates don't match!

How long do lowell have to send me proof of the debt?
