Moneysavingexperts??? Some of the advice here costs an arm and a leg!! Forget any of the big UK players (AA/RAC/Greenflag). I checked MSE and found pretty poor advice for cheap euro cover so I looked myself and the following seems damn cheap and seems to cover you for most breakdown scenarios:

    http://www.vehicle-rescue.com

    £25 for 9 days. Bargain!

Erm, how is £25 for 9 days a bargain compared to £59 for 12 months or £52 for 22 days or £40 for 5 months?

I'm going to France this summer by car and need european breakdown cover.

Has anyone got any recommendations for the best comapny to choose or, alternativley, any comapnies to avoid.

    Thanks
    Hi
I use More Than - it has just cost me £65.65 for the european cover (less another £15 via topcashback) for 12 months cover. As I want to tow a caravan abroad I sent them an email to see if this is covered and they have confirmed that it is. Bit cheaper than the £165 quoted from RAC for 4 weeks cover!

I have just been looking at this
    Alas EuropAssist costs £85 now

I looked at Morethan and they insist on you carrying a spare tyre - not an option on our car

It's £59, if you take it from Quotelinedirect* It needs to be activated 10 days before you travel into Europe to be valid in Europe.
Be good to the young on their way up you might need them on your way down.

I checked a couple of days ago quotelinedirect were providing EuropAssist
Now it appears to be Britannia Rescue - are they in any way connected?
