OMG!!! Infringement of Copyright Letter

Ahh, KaZaA. Those were the days! Its funny the OP should mention a Cascada song; I heard about someone who had one of these letters about a Scooter song. Both bands are on the same record label (AATW), which tends to produce music aimed at teenagers (clubland etc), who will just download it, so maybe there's some logic to it.I remember years ago getting a letter from a company saying I'd downloaded a Metallica song via Kazaa, I think it was. It made me laugh, because Metallica was probably the only artist I hadn't downloaded. Can't stand um!:rotfl:0 -
Dont respond...just bin it.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Whether it actually happened or not is, to my mind, largely irrelevant.Mankysteve wrote: »It a scam then. The court would have contacted you first simples.
2ndly I would do a search of each PC you've got int he house just in case.0 -
http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2010/apr/08/digital-economy-bill-passes-third-reading springs to mind where you not previously warned by letter from your isp about copyright infringement they as i can gather are ment to do this twice on the third they then can pass your details to rights holders, some isp's will only do this if they provide sufficient evidence and a court order, they need more than just an ip adress, and there is an appeals process set up by ofcom,
As for these leaches ACS law don't give em a penny, they are low lifes, they where using !!!!!! films as part of their blagging a while ago, to hopefully cause embaressment to their victims in the hope they would pay up, even when those acused where retired and not computer literate, But if you are gonna use p2p to d/load stuff, then at least tunnel up( vpn )0 -

The inclusion of High Court documents (copies of) is not to suggest that there is any high court action being taken against the recipient, it's to show how they got the individuals details.
This whole operation is bordering on a scam but not for the reason you suggest.Bought, not Brought0 -
How about spending £5.00 and actually buying the Album with cash.
Then just tell them you actually own the album so why would you download it.0 -
Dont let it worry you. Simply shred/bin the letter and let them whistle in the wind.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
