                    Hi
I sold an Item last wednesday on ebay which I haven't yet received the payment for. I send a payment reminder on sunday to which I got a reply saying she will send me a cheque but has to wait for her bank to send her a new chequebook. I still haven't received this cheque and sent an email to them yesterday asking how long it would be but they didn't reply. The other 15 items I listed were all paid for and dispatched over a week ago but there always has to be one.
How much longer do you think I should give the buyer before filling a non-paying bidder report?
Thanks
Craig

If she said she was waiting for a new cheque book (which might or might not be true), I'd send her another message asking when to expect payment (use eBay messages then it will appear on her eBay page as well as automatically e-mailing her), and if still no reply, file an NPB dispute this weekend, or maybe Monday if I were in a charitable mood.0

Ask her to send a postal order and remind her that payment is expected within 7 days of auction end.0

you are quite lucky that they even replied.
I got a "buyer" who bought 2 items with buyitnow, 20mins later she bought something else from someone, from the feedback she paid straight away on that but not on mine. I sent 3 invoices and have email her, and as yet nothing. Her feedback is only 3, but all of them said fast payer, so its really annoying. Its day 6 now, i'm going to file a NPB soon.
I really hate these types of buyer. :mad:0

If I've not paid for something immediately, I contact the seller and explain the circumstances. Since they have replied once, try mailing them once more. If you haven't heard anything by Monday do a Non paying bidder form then. Good luck. There is no need to run outside

Same here, if I havent paid immdetiately or there is a delay in me paying then I contact the seller to let them know what has happened. Once my internet was down from the day before the auction ended - when I was the winning bidder for about 5 days and in this time I was unable to leave the house and get to a library to sort out payment. When the internet came back on I paid immediately and sent an email to the seller apologising and explaining the situation - 9 times out of 10 they will be fine if they are contacted.
Same applies to selling, if I cant post something straight away (well with 24 hours or so) I contact them and explain the situation and update them as to when I have posted the itemWeight Loss - 102lb0

I think sometimes the seller doesn't see the messages. I bought some golf clubs and send a note via the send me an invoice option asking for a price for sending them to Denmark. I did it just after I won the item. Seller then send me a standard invoice not answering my questions so I left it. He then emailed again with his number and I phoned him. I think he was getting worried about me not paying but I think he should have read the note I put on the request for invoice. Sorry if this doesn't make sense.Save £12k in 25 No 49

You should ask about postage costs before bidding on an item not after winning it.0

When you start selling lots of items you will find that many cheque payers never contact you, they just send a cheque after a week or 10 days or so.
Ebay themselves don't even allow an NPB claim to be started until day 7 so don't even worry much until then. If I am concerned that the buyer looks dodgy, or problematic then I might remind as early as day 5 and start the NPB on day 7, but usually I wouldn't bother starting the NPB until day 8-10.

            Soo,
Just wondering do you use "working days" in your 8-10 days wait?
I ask because we sold an item last sunday. The buyer was sent an invoice but we heard nothing from him. He was sent another invoice on Wednesday to which he replied saying he had sent postal orders.
We emailed him yesterday stating they hadn't arrived and have sent him a message via ebay today saying the some thing. As yet have heard nothing.
I have just been wondering when/if to start NPB. He has a feedback of 14.0

I don't count working days, but where there is a bank holiday like this weekend I would factor that into my waiting times.
I've a buyer from last Friday and have sent a polite reminer already, but will probably wait until I get Tuesday's post now before I NPB them.
As for your buyer, you can't start an NPB until tomorrow anyway, so it might be worth waiting until Tuesday's post just in case PO s arrive.
