    Good afternoon All

Oh dear Nargle, hope things improve soon, maybe you are right just to let him sulk for a bit. As you know this thread is for all stuff not just the happy bits of our lives. Come and have a moan whenever you want. My grandmother used to make bread after an argument as she said it was good for kneading out her frustration.

Oh dear to you as well Horace, that doesn't sound like a quick job at all. Hope you get some efficent men come to fix it who don't mess you about too much.

Hi to everyone else. Rainy day here so I am having a lazy day watching sports.

    Back later.

Good afternoon all, not my usual self at present as had horrendous row with OH this morning. It would take too long to explain the full story, but it's to do with my daughter's wedding at beginning of July, the fact that he is not going, and the fact that whilst he wants nowt to do with the whole affair, he gets mad if he is not fully informed of developments! At the moment I can't do right for doing wrong, so it's best I just let him sulk as he will not listen to reason when he is in one of these moods. Sorry to cast a note of doom and gloom on this happy thread, but stuff happens, doesn't it? I am at work all day tomorrow so hopefully things will calm down - will come back on here in a day or two when I get a free moment. I am too full of anger and frustration to be very good company for you all at present!

Hi Nargle sorry you are having problems - men can be so like that can't they - it's the sulking that is so maddening - probably best that you leave him be to let him calm down - but as Tixy says, come and have a moan on here - a problem shared and all that

    Hi all

Sorry not been about much today - I have been cleaning the bathroom floor, I thought it was getting wet around the loo and have discovered that the loo is leaking:mad: Had to text my landlord so hopefully the men will be in tomorrow - the leak is coming from the area where the loo is fixed to the floor so its going to be a big job and I have to go out tomorrow afternoon as well..sigh.

Horace - my hubbie says it should not be such a big job - probably need a new loo as old one may be cracked, which will take no time at all for a plumber - so hopefully not too much disruption for you - fingers crossed
Car Boot, brilliant we took @ £150 in total, but we did come back with tomato plants, plants for tubs, and a set of 1890's blue and white tureens to go on our dresser. Mrs handy cant wait to go again next week. We took our terriers with us, there must have been 20 or more people that brought Border Terriers. Mine thought it was great to meet so many relations.

Has anyone seen Niddy, is he missing in action, or just having a lost weekend?

I will look in on you again soon, I have to go and unload the car, luckily all but one of the boxes are empty.

    Cheers All, handy.

Hiya Handy - well done on your car boot - £150 is fantastic - and to clear out all that gear too, that's a bonus - bet your Borders had a great time

Niddy is away for the weekend with Mrs Niddy & DD, in sunny scunny (Sc*nthorpe) he said - back tonight I think

Tixy - enjoying the sport?? We are watching the Formula 1 - Hamilton & Button have just finished 1 & 2 - great

    Hi everyone :hello:

Hope you have all had a good day,

Swanfan & Sunnylooloo - hope your heads are feeling better now!

Nargle - hope your OH has calmed down now.

    Handy - £150 well done:T:T

Haven't been doing much at all today, the first thing my grand-daughter wanted when she got up this morning was jam on toast, I must admit it has turned out delicious - even if I do say so myself. I was surprised at how easy it is in the bread machine cos at least you haven't got to stand there stirring it like on the hob. Will be getting some raspberries now to make some more - I am hooked!!

Weather hasn't been too bad here today, did look like it might rain but it's held off so far.

Going for a bath now, back later I hope if OH doesn't get on the PC - cheek!

Has anyone else noticed that it's still very slow loading?
I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

Nargle sorry to read about the OH - let him sulk and do your own thing.

Numpty/3Dogs - the waste pipe is fine - the water is coming out at the point where the loo is cemented to the floor. I don't think the loo is cracked because I am not that fat:eek: - I think its just the bad workmanship showing up after the landlord's dodgy builders restored the place after he bought them as derelict flats from the council.

I hate having the men here - they look down their nose at me because I am not the tidiest person (I know where everything is) and I have a problem with waste paper as the recycling bin is permanently full:eek: It is getting to the stage where I shall just chuck it all in the normal waste bin (if I can find room after the new tenants upstairs fill it with their business waste:mad:)
