A new page time for one of these x ;)

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

    What is a Troll?
A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made. If you should get such a comment made on any thread you post, asking for help and advice, please realise this comment is not directed at you personally so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal because the majority of us really are a lovely bunch – ooops, modesty!

What should I do if I get a comment made on my thread?
Firstly do not respond to the comment as this is invariably what the troll wants. So to get rid of the offending post, at the bottom of the post towards the right hand side you’ll see a red "Warning" triangle within a blue “Abuse” icon, as shown below:

    report.gif

Click the icon and then "send" the message which will inform the abuse team of the post, who will then review its content and deal with it as appropriate; sometimes even deleting the troll by making their status PPR’d (Posting Privileges Removed). Remember, this site is an asset to so many people, especially those that feels like their world is falling in around them. There is a wealth of knowledgeable people here all willing to help, whatever you do, do not let the comments of one silly individual deter you from availing yourself of the knowledge base that is on offer here.

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE FORUM

It is testament to the work that Martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time, knowledge and experience freely to others; without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of their debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT
always smile no matter how broken you are.

    Evening everyone :hello:

Hope you have all had a good day. Spent most of mine shopping and probably bought far too much food as usual.

    Hi to Jemmy and Erme.

3Dogs - I agree with what others have said about your neighbour, he's probably embarassed and ashamed about what happened but I know what you mean, a little thank you doesn't hurt does it. But you know you and your hubby are very kind hearted people and that's all that matters.;)

Handy - glad you're going to enjoy your weekend off.

Nargle - did you do the chickens? And I had a flag too on St George's day!

Swanfan - hope your head isn't too bad - what are you like:rotfl:

Tixy - I'm afraid I have flags on my car :o but I do take them off if I go on the motorway:)

Watched the football - I think we could've done better and that USA goal

Hope everyone else had a good day - oh I finally made the jam, will let you all know what it's like tomorrow when it's cooled down and ready to eat - Yummm.

Sorry folks got to go - grand-daughter staying here tonite and she's just woke up - see you all tomorrow.

Hi BL - well done on eventually making that jam - something I have never done - I did make chutney years ago and that was nice

And did you mention chickens ? 00020541.gif 00020541.gif

I hope that keeper's mistake doesn't end up costing us dearly !!

And for Erme and Jemmy and any other lurking newbies out there - a quick reminder that amongst all the chitchat and nonsense, there is a serious message to this thread.

Hear Hear!! Nargle, couldnt have said it better myself.
Handy got some flea's from the flea market, I think I may have to borrow the cats collar.

Just finishing packing for the car boot tomorrow. Its amazing what you forget about when its left in boxes. Then when you find it you don't really want to part with it. But handy's going to be hard headed this time. My sword and RAF hat can go, But the Rupture Truss from my days in the Royal Camel Corps holds a lot of sentimental value for me. ( you try riding a Camel without one).

Anyway best wishes to all, will look in again in a bit, Cheers handy.

3dogs - would like to say I agree that you and hubby were very kind taking on the 2 dogs from next door, especially with already having 3 of your own. Please don't let this rude neighbour upset you or get you down. You know and we know that you are kind hearted people who would always do something like that (for the sake of the dogs as well as the people involved), and at least the dogs went home a lot cleaner when they arrived ;)

Even if he is embarrassed about the situation he should have still made the effort to come and thank you (wine or chocs would also have been appropriate in my opinion, but a thanks should be the least he can manage, or if he couldn't face you a thank you card through the letterbox would have been another option).
You are better than him, and don't deserve to let someone like him make your feel down or depressed.
We all thinks you is lovely :D

Handyman good luck with the carboot, maybe next week I'll get round to one :o.

Goodnight all, sleep well, don't let the trolls bite :)

Glad you're smiling now, you really didn't deserve to be treated like that by your ungrateful neighbour, some people are just plain odd though.....
