We can't all be the same I suppose but common courtesy surely ?? come on :mad: It upset me actually, and got to me quite a bit, which is why I have been a bit hap-hazard on here - we are both the type of people who help others out whenever they can, we don't do it for thanks, but it is nice to be appreciated :mad::mad::mad: I do suffer from depression, and things like this do affect me and knock me back, so I am just pulling myself back now. Sorry if this sound wimpish or self-indulgent, just needed to say it really. Thanks for listening.

Agree with Nargle. Neighbour is probably totally embarrassed by the whole thing, didn't know what to say to you or your hubbie and decided to just ignore it. Lots of people are like that, if they can't face a situation their head goes in the sand. Please don't take it personally and don't let it affect you. You did a really good turn by those two lovely dogs - keep that in your mind:T

There is the Daily Chat thread aswell ( its name changes everyday:cool: but there is usually something about chat in the title

I've made this thread my home and a few others have aswell :A:T

Erme, I can't remember quite how I became a DFW Nerd - probably woke up with a rip roaring headache and the words DFW Nerd tattooed on my forehead or something...that's the last time I drink pilchard margheritas on an empty stomach...but I think one of the stickies at the top of the threads list has something to do with it.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll?

What should I do if I get a comment made on my thread?
Firstly do not respond to the comment as this is invariably what the troll wants. So to get rid of the offending post, at the bottom of the post towards the right hand side you’ll see a red "Warning" triangle within a blue “Abuse” icon, as shown below:

Click the icon and then "send" the message which will inform the abuse team of the post, who will then review its content and deal with it as appropriate; sometimes even deleting the troll by making their status PPR’d (Posting Privileges Removed). Remember, this site is an asset to so many people, especially those that feels like their world is falling in around them. There is a wealth of knowledgeable people here all willing to help, whatever you do, do not let the comments of one silly individual deter you from availing yourself of the knowledge base that is on offer here.

It is testament to the work that Martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time, knowledge and experience freely to others; without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of their debt crisis
