  • 3Dogs - How are your doggies today? Hope they are feeling better. I don't know much about animals as have never been allowed to have them where we live but I do like them and, like kids, it's horrible when they're not well as they are helpless.

They seem OK today BL thanks - perhaps they were just dry & hoarse after all the barking at the kennels - still a bit rough/wuff when on walks as collar pulls against their throats - still keeping an eye on them for now

That's good news, 3Dogs, I meant to ask that myself this morning but Kathy's news drove it out of my mind. Fingers crossed they're OK

Sorry BL, I had missed that. Were they not well after coming out the kennels. Its really tough having to put dogs in kennels (not to mention costly), did they get to share a pen for all 3 of them?
I am very lucky in that my folks always look after woof when I am away, and I do the same for their animals when they are. I guess you don't have anyone nearby willing or able to take on 3? If I lived nearer I'd have been happy to look after them all! :D

PS - My kitchen is finally coming along nicely. Might even have a new oven to use tonight!

  • Hi Tixy - There are a lot of you with animals here, I envy you all at times but then at other times I don't, like vets bills & kennel costs etc.;).

Glad to hear your kitchen is progressing, you might even beat your 2012 deadline!! My kitchen (well most of my flat really) badly needs decorating-I might even do the kitchen over the next couple of weeks as there really isn't that much to do, just above the cupboards and the door frame & ceiling need painting and some new flooring-mmm got me thinking now!:D

Decorating always feels good to start with but I always get bored long before anything is ever finished!
Hoping to have it all done except for the new floor by the end of this week. Not sure who to get to put the floor tiles down, need to see if there are any willing/unwilling family members I can persuade to do it.

Another new page so time for Pania's words again

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

Please don't be put off by any trolls or spammers or AEs or irritating posters. DFW is a great place to come for advice.
