It's probably a better place to get accurate help.0 -
I'm now commencing my fourth year with TalkTalk and after a few early teething problems that were quickly and efficiently sorted out, I have had excellent service all round.
Initially my download speed was about 2meg but is now steady at about 5.5meg.
On the three occasions I have to report problems, they all turned out to be Openreach problems but even then they were sorted out and fixed within 24-48 hours.
The TT Forum is excellent and always answers quickly.
Mr_Oink is correct in all he states above.0 -
Hi Yummymummy,
Im sorry to hear of the problems you have experienced with your TT BB services.
As we can only provide limited support via the MSE site I would mirror Mr_Oinks advice that registering on the TTMF Forum is the best course of action. This will allow us to investigate into your account and advise you further (less the jargon too).
Feel free to register on the forum and start a thread in the relevant section and we will do all we can to help.
Regards“Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of Talk Talk. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -
I'd just like to add a couple of additional notes....
(unrelated to topic)
Sometimes routers give red lights when the username or password is entered incorrectly
(related to topic)
Just some thoughts I'd point to this problem... some old ground
- Microfilters (replace them)
- Router settings (check things like Virtual Circuit, Virtual Circuit Type, etc)
- Try using the master socket behind the BT faceplate (this could highlight any issues with mains BT)
- Try using a test account from talk talk (I know BT has one).. (see below)
The reason you use a test account, is because if it works, then it suggests there is a problem with your account not synching up properly at the exchange with your connection information. In which case TT could then reset it or at least investigate further when they know the problem isn't your equipment nor theres
I really would like to stress using a test account (ideally another TT), because you need to find out if the problem lies with your telephone line, their exchange, your account, or something along those lines.Owner of andrewhope.co.uk, hate cars and love them
