That would be Talk Talk customers, you don't have to look too far to see just how bad Talk Talk support is.:)

Can't say I've ever had an issue with them for years. Of course you can't help people who are beyond help ;-) Reading and following instructions is pretty much universally required.

It is if your connection is working OK, not a lot of use if your connection is down.

Now don't try to convince anybody on here that Talk Talk telephone support is of any use to anybody.;)

Methinks you are trolling. Good luck with that ;-)
  • Thanks Mr Oink and I agree. Was just trying to see if simple solution before going down other routes.

I added a BT accelerator as did not have latest socket and made a huge difference.

Shame people have to fiddle with settings as so many get lost.

Agreed about the engineers not just BT. I happen to work with one who knows what he's doing.

You might be pleased to hear I got BT fibre about three weeks ago and it made a huge difference, speed tests regularly show 35Mbps down and 7.6 up. But it is far more stable to date. The engineer who fitted it went to exchange first and told me although card had been changed at exchange for adsl 2+ it was the wrong wiring which is why I had so much trouble with old service. This will just support what you say about their engineers.

Hands up, I call a spade a spade - but honestly you could not eat funny mushrooms and dream up the internal workings of BT and Openreach ;-) Glad you are enjoying your FTTC. I'm sure you don't need a grunt like me to tell you, but make sure all is secure. It has been suggested that the FTTC ranges are being targeted by botnet operators as they can dump out more spam per hour :-o
  • Thanks Mr Oink,

Yes, I did but good advice to anyone else. In fact my engineer was trained to do that he was very good but I think he is the exception.

I would believe it. As far as I can tell a lot of their engineers sit around doing nothing as there is not enough for them to do.
