    Hello lovely ladies
ok I bit the bullet and took my dress to a dressmaker near work and it's not as bad as I thought :) For one I was wearing it wrong!! I know that sounds daft but where I thought it should do up round my waist was wrong, it needed to be higher.

ANyways the short story is she can fix it for me and fast, I get to try it on next week after she's let it out for me

Still losing weight and doing ok with it cos I figure it can't hurt to lose a few extra pounds along the way but feel much better about the whole thing

Thanks for all your support xxxx

Like Linda, I thought you may be wearing it 'wrong', it's surprising how many people don't know where their natural waist actually is!
I've just spent the weekend at auditions for a local show and lost count of the times I heard the wardrobe mistress say "THIS is where your waist is!" and hike the tape measure at least two inches up the body! lol Also knowing how to wear a corset correctly makes a huge difference, I saw it when my daughter was trying on wedding dresses.
I'm so glad it's not as bad as you thought, don't forget we want piccies when you finally get to wear your gorgeous dress!x

Hi, no matter what you do, stick to the WW and dont go onto some crash diet! What about doing WW's "fast start" for a couple of weeks?. Also running is good both in terms of activity pts and weight loss. Dont know much about dress alterations Im afraid though but I am a WW fan!! Tracey

Glad it was all sorted in the end, you look absolutely lovely in your perfectly fitting dress! Where did you get married, it looks amazing!

Hi Birdie, It was Cubley Hall near Barnsley. Gorgeous but very MSE as they let us have a buffet style meal of a choice of 3 main courses and accompaniments instead of a three-course, saving us £23 per head on other comparable hotels where the only option was a three course meal with no variation for the guests. :money:
