Do you own a Wii fit? Get onto the Yoga/Muscle work outs on there. They will be a massive help...

Also - what I do is get on the internet, onto youtube and then type in what sort of work outs you need/want to do and then follow them through. They're like a free work out video that you can do at home. The one I have been on takes 5 mins and it's all sorts of work outs for your abdominal area and you can do it first thing in the morning and when you get home. You will soon notice a difference.

Running is also a good one - and it's free! Plus another one you could do which is free and works a treat is walking! It seriously does help, is there anywhere you go regularly that you could walk to regularly, i.e. train station/work/shops? It's worth a shot!!

Good luck, I am in exactly the same boat, I am back to the gym as soon as I can!!

I am going to be getting married to a Royal Marine, if you need any help on any type of exercise tips then let me know :-) x

Depending on how much weight you need to lose you could try the Cambridge Weight Plan. If you are able to do it (depending on weight & medication etc) with the sole source version you could lose a lot in 4 weeks.

I know someone who lives in Alston if you want their details (I see you have a house in Cumbria).

For info - I am a Cambridge Consultant.

Get your water retention levels down with a sugar scrub its temporary but quite effective.

Just get a handful of granulated sugar to shower gel or something highly moisturising and rub against your skin all over. You end up with really smooth skin and it has a temporary diuretic effect. rub up your legs and clockwise round your belly. Well start at the top then down the left round the bottom of stomach and up right when looking down at yourself. Its also great on the dry skin on the top of your arms.

If your starting a diet it really boosts your self esteem knowing your skin is refreshed and feels great. You may notice a pound or two off about the same day but its temporary sorry to say.

Linda whilst you are here with all your knowledge - can you offer a vague price I would be looking at to get my dress changed from a zip up to a lace up?
Also how long would this take? A few weeks / days?

My dress is currently not fitting either - yikes ... I have faith it will but just like to cover all options - Its not a traditional white one - its green silk with a corset style top. Thanks

    Hello lovely ladies
ok I bit the bullet and took my dress to a dressmaker near work and it's not as bad as I thought :) For one I was wearing it wrong!! I know that sounds daft but where I thought it should do up round my waist was wrong, it needed to be higher.

ANyways the short story is she can fix it for me and fast, I get to try it on next week after she's let it out for me

Still losing weight and doing ok with it cos I figure it can't hurt to lose a few extra pounds along the way but feel much better about the whole thing

Thanks for all your support xxxx

On average £35 depending on job involved. It says £45 on the website but if the job is less involved I tend to knock off. Just recently I quoted a fee for a job and it took under an hour so I knocked a tenner off. You may pay the £45 but if it's straight forward, it could come in cheaper.
