Or how about BO11OCK or BO11OXX
I am getting increasingly annoyed at the number of these plates that have been illegally altered so as to provide their 'dimwit' owners with illegable plates. A case in point, last week a car so plated was in a minor collision in a Tesco's carpark. I hadn't noticed this until the car raced past me with one of these number plates. Although I had enough of time to record the number I was totally bemused as to it's real reading as the plate was a mixture of wrongly placed holding screws, letters and numbers. Sorry to say I was unable to assist the elderly driver who's car had been damaged by this driver. Can't the police pull over these cars and give a FPN to the driver with the order to appear at a police staion with new, correct and legal number plates affixed and hand in the old ones? Failure to do so would mean when the car was next stopped could be seized. Also the firms that provides these plates could be given a swinging fine so as to get it across to them that providing illegal plates will not be tolerated. It is illegal to have a plate not recording the issuing firms post code on it.0 -

I do know someone who was pulled over and fined for his use of caps on his number plate
As far as I know the police don't have a problem with 'illegally spaced lettering' so long as none of the characters are altered by said caps although I know for the MOT you need the number plate legally spaced.2014 Target;

I can assure you that they do...our local traffic plod had a crack down because of some of the completely stupid misspacing on reg plates...some were that bad in our village, it seemed pointless having a numberplate!!!'' A man who defends himself, has a fool for a client''0 -
