So here we are another diary and another new start but I suppose the main thing is I am still here
So for all of those who do not know me I will start with a little "about me" section.
I am 34, currently going through a divorce after a 17 year relationship and have a beautiful DD who is 5 years old and my absolute world. I have my own lovely house, a beautiful springer spaniel and many fantastic friends some of whom I have met through this site
Approximately three years ago I was around 60K in debt. I found this lovely site and after draining many members on here for advice (you know who you are) I managed to clear about £25k of debt. I then sold my house after the breakdown of my marriage and using some of the equity from the sale I cleared all of our debts. So as at July time last year I became debt free.
I now live with my DD in a lovely house which I pay for all by myself, it's a struggle but we manage but I know with a little more of the MSE way I could make things much easier and also start some savings.
I have in the last week been offered a very good job on a much larger salary. It means leaving a job I have been in for 10 years and is really taking me out of my comfort zone but I have decided to take the challenge! I am currently waiting for various checks to take place and then I should get my starting date.
So why am I back in the DFW diaries when I am debt free, because this is the place where the journey began, where all my friends are and where feels like home.
So my diary will not be a debt busting diary but I will be following the same principals but rather than throwing my money at debt I will be popping it into my savings
My second big challenge is to lose weight. I am off on hols in 7 weeks so my first challenge is to lose a stone by holiday. I am a dieting regular lol so will be following the WW diet. I know my points and know how to work them out so at the moment I won't be joining a class or online as I think it will be a waste of money. I will review this after holiday if I feel I need the added support but for now I will use this diary as a blog for my weight loss as well, hope this is ok with you guys
I am going to try and keep this diary running daily as this is when I am most successful, really hope some of my oldies will join in and hope to get some newbies on here too.
Ok think that's enough from me for now, so jump on board and join me in my journey
p.s I am a Facebook addict as well as some of you already know
and would love some new MSE friends on there so drop me a PM if you wanna add me.

Hiya Doodledo! Not sure I should be so high on the list in welcoming your new diary - but like you, I'm Liverpool (I *presume* you're from Liverpool, with that avatar
) and I'm also debt free, tho very recently. I still have some money problems, tho, so I'm sticking around dfw too - and I hope I'll be picking up more hints and tips - and waving hello to new people - as well.
Good luck!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Thanks peeps. It was a hard decision to make but I am convinced it is the right one. I need to get away from the place where my ex and his new missus works and I am looking forward to meeting new people as well, it feels the right time to make the break.
Well today I had a lovely lay in, my DD was at her nannys so I took full advantage and didn't get out of my bed till gone 10
Not much happening MSE wise today. I have a few bills to pay and will need to do some shopping soon as the cupboards are very bare.
Have a few bits on Ebay but need to put some more on soon as I need to raise some cash for our spending money for our holiday in July and I have very little spare from my wages after all the bills come out
Diet wise I am doing ok although I have barely eaten so will get myself something now, then I am off to my parents for dinner later.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Have a few bits selling on Ebay tonight so should have be first figures that I can add to my £1000 savings target, well that is if they pay by Paypal :T
Have lots more bits to put on so shall do a few bits each day, I can't cope with loads finishing in one evening like I used to when I was married so a few a day is definately the best approach for me at the moment.
Been a NSD today and no plans to go out anywhere other than popping to mums for a nice dinner :TProud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712
