Cancelling Virgin....

I have no idea. It's just something I was told when I was working for them,It's actually more expensive to use contractors than in house crews but VM went ahead & binned in house & now is slowly bringing them back.Spike, if it costs them £500 per install, then why can they offer a 28 day cancellation period? Won't take a very high proportion of cancellations to put a big dent in their margins surely? That overhead is more than a year's average sub maybe?
The's a lot of things to be taken into account when costing an install,
manhours,cost of materiels,seven day fails ect0 -
I was given the wrong information the other day about an engineer coming to collect the equipment today, I gotta wait for packaging to come! Grrrrr0
-
I canceled Virgin Media about the 2nd week of June and I'm still waiting for them to send me the packaging to send the equipment back.
How long has anyone waited for it to turn up?0 -
Never ever throw out the box or sell it. Could be months according to some. So just put it away and one day the packaging will turn up.0

3 years and still waiting0

Collections are done by an outside agency now so it can take a while.Dont bin the kit as you can be billed up to £250 for anything not returned however the old Analogue STB's or SACM's are'nt collected as the former are'nt used anymore & the latter are so cheap to make.
When I started out as an installer with NTL wayyyyy back,we used to do the full disconnect. From disconnecting the services in the Mux & Street cabinet to collecting the boxes.0 -
Could take months. I waited 2 months and out of the blue got a demand for money because I didn't return the box! I complained and they wiped the fee and said they'd send out another bag. 1 month later still no bag. Eventually, after complaining for ages, they arranged for someone to come around to pick up the box.
Its ludicrous that you have to chase them to return the box or they charge you, but that seems to be the way it is.
Oh, and make sure you return the remote too. The remote and the box are the only two things they require.0 -
Well I had someone turn up yesterday to pick up the equipment but I was out at work. He left a card with his number & he came back today when I was in. So glad it's finally gone out of my house....0
