I have ordered a silver birch, thanks OP. As has been said before these will grow into large trees so make sure they are planted away from your hous and any underground services or drains. Your home insurance could be invalid if you plant a large tree too close to your house. They may look tiny when they arrive but in 20 years time they will block light etc so choose your planting site carefully.
  • Thanks op - have just ordered Scots Pine :j

Thanks op we would like some trees for our village, so this will be a good start and as we are near Pendle Rowan would be good as they are known aa witches trees
  • Thanks OP.

Anyone old enough to remember the "plant a tree in '73" campaign they ran when I was in junior school?

As above - don't plant too close to your house as when it falls down onto your roof and haven't declared it on your insurance - you aint gonna get paid!
