Rowan berries aren't poisonous as far as I know. In fact, Rowan jelly (made with the berries) is *fabulous* with venison ...

animals can make and eat Jelly ... thats clever of them :rotfl:

Just a word of caution, the trees aren't smaller varieties suitable for small gardens, according to the guide, they will all get pretty huge (15m, 20-30m and 18-25m respectively), so there needs to be lots of room for them:

if you have not space for a big tree, you could always order one and donate it to your local council tree warden, or a local school or other organisation

by the way, if you are worried about poisonous plants, many common garden plants are highly toxic to people as well as animals... my son ate a couple of daphne berries from our garden when he was 1 yr old. he was ill, and pooping green water for nearly 2 months... having googled it more recently, it turns out it can be deadly poisonous so he was very lucky

ironically, i have ordered a rowan tree a few days before this was posted, as i saw it on hukd....
