Give it time. Its always a bit difficult when you move to a very different type of area.Mortgage debt - [STRIKE]£8,811.47 [/STRIKE] Paid off!0

A couple of rubbish-bags in front of a house and a frisby or a couple of tennis-balls in the garden now and then don't necessarily make a neighbourood chavvy.
I think it's been a bit of an unexpected culture-shock to the OP and I'd recommend giving it at least 12 months before considering a move. A nice, residential street populated by couples and families sounds like heaven to me.0 -
Give it some time and as others have said try and get to know teh neighbours at least before dismissing the are/house
Ignore the stupid opinionated comments from those who don;t know the area. You know the area as you bought a house there after all. Try speaking to people rather than building barriers (like higher fencing or trellis) or calling the council about their rubbish. You don;t have to become life long friends but it generally makes it harder for people to be inconsiderate to people they know by name and see regularly0
