upgrade advice on 3 network

Hi

My current contract expires end of next month with Three. I am on 500 mins and 100 text. I took this out with e2save. I got all my cashback and it worked out £60 for full year.

I have been on phone with three. I asked them what upgrade they will do. Without any haggling they offered me motorola V3x on same tarrif with 6 months free, then 7 - 12 months pay £30. Is the phone any good or is there any better deals.

ive just upgraded my contract with 3, i got a free k600i, 400 minutes, 250 texts, 25 min video calling, 25 mms messages, £5 content downloads allowence and 13mb of internet downloads.
Cost is £20 on a 12month contract, no cashback.
plus as ive got 2months left on my current contract they have given me the remaining months free,

i got a call from 3 customer services this morning offering me a k800, the same deal above but on an 18month contract, i let him tell me all the details and i told him no i'am not interested, as i was only interested in a 12 month deal, i just kept haggling with him, tell him the deal you want, if he/she says no, ask if you can speak to the manager. Also make something up like 02 are offering me this deal blah blah blah....

Thats all i did.

I'm currently on 750 mins,150 texts for £40,with redemption via E2Save,which works out at about £17 pm.

3 rang me yesterday,and offered me double mins and texts for the first 3 months,12 month contract for £30 pm,and a new phone of my choosing.(quite fancy the Nokia 6280 and 6233.)

I told them to ring me next week,as I haven't made my mind up yet,as my contract ends on October 9th.

If they've offered you 6 months free,then 6 months @ £30,it looks like they are going to have to be a bit more flexible with me.

My contract was due to end in July this year (same contract as OP). I rang them to give notice of cancelation and they offered me the Nokia N70 for free on the same deal. However; they also offered me £176.00 credited to my account if I stayed

As a side note, I think a lot of the times the stick 3 have had over their network coverage is sometimes down to their phones...prior to upgrade I had a Nokia 6630 which would lose signal in various locations where I live. Since having the N70 these areas now have signal

I was offered a rubbish upgrade from 3 disconnections - best was V3X with 10months half price (400mins)

I'm keen to upgrade to avaoid cashback hassle but would like a decent phone N70/73, K800i etc etc.

I'm going to try for an N73 with £180 credit - heard that someone did it on this forum.

I was pushing for 8 months free on montoral v3x, dnt like the phone but not getting good deals on others. Anyway the guy says the most they will do is 7 month free on 12 months contract and 2 year warranty on the phone.

I said I will think about it but can I have a pac code. I got the pac code. Few days phoned back but the person on other end said the notes on my account just say 6 month and not willing to give 7 month. I asked the person so get the person who I spoke to call me back. I was told I will get a call back today. But still waiting....

Rang again today, best they could offer is 5 months free and £15 "goodwill" - total of £167.75 credited to my account.

Not great phone - had to choose between a v3x and 6280 - took the v3x.

They said that each month the deals changed and they dont get much flexibility!!
