    Will take an age

If it takes 5 minutes per freebie and there is 100 members (500 quid). Thats 500 minutes per freebie.

Multiply by 1 per day thats 182500 minutes which is 3000+ Hours that is 60 hours a week for 10 quid a week average

Neat idea if you could tie in with all the suppliers , build a database and then supply address`s , but then you are in the realms of DPA plus there are loads of companies who do this for suppliers. I worked for one such company for 6 months and got load sof freebies , mostly vouchers but the odd shaving gel or shaver as well.
  • No, sorry mate I wouldn't pay - After the initial excitement of sending for every freebie going - including pieces of astro turf!!! - I decided to only send for freebies I really needed/wanted and I'm sure most people do - how would you decide what freebies people would want you to apply for???
If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.

Would you pay 4.99 to someone who, armed with your name and address, would apply for free samples for a year on your behalf?

Samples would include shaving gel, perfume, after shave, shower gel, washing powder, tea bags etc.

You're probably targeting the wrong people by asking hardened freebie hunters on this site!! :o

There could possibly be a market amongst older teenagers or young adults that 'can't be bothered' to send off for stuff themselves but like the idea of free stuff coming through their door. I can't see that you would find sufficient people to make a living though and it is sort of against the spirit of this site to be selling information that is available here for free. (No offence meant)

Personally, I wouldn't touch the service with a bargepole and, if I saw it advertised anywhere I'd be encouraging people to apply for their own freebies and save £4.99 by using this site that is available for all for free. :o Don't forget that you can use auto-fillers to complete forms on your behalf and save valuable time.
  • Maybe you should ask a few friends and family who don't have access to the net, if you don't take on many youll probably get away with it. I myself don't see any point to paying for a service like that. You might have better luck selling sims for cash.

There's a awfull lot of us 'pay' quidco £5 for access to cashback, and the premise of that is we pay a small amount to save a bigger amount...i think your idea is similar.

If the freebies included the sort of thing I'd order myself, incl money of vouchers, £20 no min spend, free cinemas etc, and I didn't have time to search myself i would pay the £5.....but if you find a £20 no min spend, there's problems with credit cards/what they want to order etc....for cinema tickets it's can they make it/would they want to see the film, soooo many problems it's probably not worth your while
Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

Wont this sort of a thing be the a good source for identity theft ? Anyone could offer this "service" and wreak havoc. No offence meant to the OP but this is something I will be wary off...

There's also the problem of having no proof of what people have received, how would you deal with people asking for their money back after 6 months of 'supposedly' getting nothing?
You'd have to have a 'no refund' policy, which i'm sure would put people right off.
Laying out a fiver for someone to claim stuff for you (that is already free) is one thing - but as long as there's a decent return (they'd all have to be decent freebies as well, no astro turf samples as someone posted heh) - then maybe ok - but to have no guarantee that you'll get anything at all for your cash is another matter.
In theory, a good idea for helping yourself out a little - but along with the other reasons FM's have given I think it's a non-starter :(

And how would you know that they'd ACTUALLY send for the freebies. Sorry, its another no.

  • HUH???? Why on earth would I PAY someone to do it for me? The satisfaction that I get from hunting down a freebie or a bargain is half the enjoyment for me! Also, there is no way to guarantee that you can get any freebies, so you could take the money and do nothing while telling me I was just unlucky.
