Hi all
I'm changing mobile phone providers to get a better deal and I need an easy way to copy all the numbers on my current SIM card to the new one I'll be getting.
Can someone suggest an easy, quick way to do it (I've got about 50 to move)?
All help gratefully received.

USB SIM card reader or if the same brand of mobile, use their proprietary software.0

I don't have a SIM card reader and it's going between two different makes of phone.
The guy from the new phone provider mentioned blue-toothing them across, but I'm not sure how that would work?:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

Most phones have the ability to copy from sim to phone and vice versa so if either phone will accept the both sims (even if it won't allow calls) you will maybe be able to copy them across that way.
SIM read/write devices can often be picked up in pound shops too.0 -
another vote for sim card to phone and then back again with new sim cardEx forum ambassador

Put old sim in new phone, switch on, copy numbers on sim to new phone. Put new sim in new phone and copy numbers from sim to phone. As said, most if not all phones have this facility.:cool:0

Couldn't find a SIM card reader anywhere. I've bitten the bullet and typed them all into an Excel spreadsheet. Just got the problem of then keying them all into the new phone. Doing a master rest on my current phone will clear everything from there ..... won't it?:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

Did you try copying from sim to phone then back to the new sim as suggested in posts 4, 5 and 6?0

As mentioned before they sell sim card readers in many pound shops, bought one a couple of months ago and used it several times. Easy and all for a quid.0

You don't mention if you're also changing phones. If you're keeping the same phone or the new phone is the same manufacturer you may be able to use their sync tools to take a backup to your PC and can restore it later (for example Nokia PC Suite)0
