Do i need Blackberry Email
Looking to buy Blackberry bold 9700
What would i be missing if i didn't have the Blackberry Email as opposed to just an ordinary data plan?
I presume that I wouldn't get emails direct to phones inbox, i could cope with that, I could just go to Gmail on web to see my inbox couldn't I?
One provider, cant remember which one, charges £5 extra for Blackberry bolt on, and was wondering if i didn't take it would i really miss what it does for a Blackberry?

to use ANY blackberry function you need the blackberry bundle/bolt on, without it you can't use push email (so it pops up and tells you you have an email), blackberry messenger, internet (i think you can access the internet using wap/gprs using another browser)...to be honest there's no point getting a blackberry without the bundle.Yes Your Dukeiness

I have a Blackberry without BIS and the only drawback I find is you cant use the Blackberry Messenger service .
Downloaded Opera Mini browser as you can only use the Blackberry browser over wifi. Then you can check your emails using your data plan. I also downloaded Blackberry apps world which works fine.0
