1.6 is pants compared to 2.2 froyo, even 2.1 is a remarkable improvement.

I looked at it, but the fact there is no announced plan to push it to 2.1 or 2.2 nor any vague timelines from Dell other than "soon" made me forget it and get an Iphone.

There is a big risk that the upgrade may be a long way away, and it may even not happen. Just like the SE X1 I had before they promised an upgrade to WM 6.5 then it turned out the upgrade path was to buy a X2.

Plus by the time they get 2.1 or 2.2 out there Android will be on 3.x and the process starts again.
