  • My husband or myself won in May 2005, September 2006, October 2006, November 2006 and December 2006. (mostly £50 but one £100). We have £3000 between us, most of them bought in October 2005.

I was waiting for my January win, but it never came!

We bought £100 worth for our son in 1997, they won £100 the first draw they were eligible, but nothing since.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton
  • Sorry....only just read that the thread is two years old!

Just out of interest, on the high-winners list, some entries have "LB" - what does this mean?? :o
  • LB stands for lucky b****rds!

    Or London Borough
  • I bought £1000 bonds a couple of years ago (there's that 2005 thread again!) and a short while after I won £50.00 on a bond that was bought for me in 1956!!!
Then I won £20.00 about 6 months after that on bonds I had bought in 1995! Nothing on the 2005 lot though.
Maybe I'd better put pen to paper and see if that get's results. Just a random thought.....

I have a £10 bond that was bought for me by my Dad on the day I was born. In nearly 32 years I have won £50 once:j

Although I do keep having a recurring dream about winning £10k so I am hoping that is deja vu rather than a dream:p
