Water blockage in neighbours drain

Options
Does anyone know who i should contact, my drain in the garden is overflowing - this keeps on happening. I have phoned 'homeserve', they have come out twice to have a look at it, but i cannot call them again.

I think it is a neighbours blocked pipe 'upstream'. i have asked the neighbours, but because its not directly affecting them they are not worried!

What can i do?

my council now deals with these type of blockages and bills ALL the people on the sewer feed equally...my neighbours kept getting blocked as some idiot decided it was ok to pour all their builders rubble down the sewer, since they all got a bill its not happened ;)

    Surely you mean 'downstream'?

Ring your water company and present them with the problem. They will determine who is liable, who is to clear the blockage.

If the buildings are old(built prior to Oct 1937) I believe it is the sole responsibility of the water company/council.

In any case if the blockage is 'downstream' from your boundary you are not liable, unless you have been putting 'builder's rubble' etc in your sewer.
