Do you need a TV licence for BBC Iplayer?

Hi,
Yesterday I cancelled my TV licence since I've no longer got a TV.
That said, I'm a fan of BBC Iplayer and so forth but am concerned that this might be included under the licence umbrella!
Does anyone know? I asked the person from the TV licence centre on the phone and he didn't know either?!

You only need it to watch live tv, so iPlayer's fine. However if you watch live TV online, you need one.0

If you watch it live, yes you would. Otherwise no.
But of course, as you're watching BBC programmes, there's somewhat of a moral part. I value them enough to pay a licence fee, regardless of whether I watch live or not.Squirrel!If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you.
